The Phone That Actually Rings: BT Miners' Survival Strategy
BT Miners' COO told Mining Disrupt Miami 2024 how phone support, free consultations, repair and hosting carried the company through the crypto winter.
BT Miners did not try to win on hardware alone. It answered the phone. Lena Dong, chief operating officer of BT Miners, told the stage at Mining Disrupt Miami 2024, held June 24 to 26, 2024, that the company started in April 2021, later than most of its rivals, and opened its first office in China. It set out to be one of the first vendors to give consumers real support.
In her words, "We were the first ones to actually allow people to call us, and we'll actually pick up their phone calls." The company added free tech support and consultation calls for anyone with questions about crypto and mining. Then came the downturn. In 2022, during the crypto winter, BT Miners started hosting. In January 2023 it opened a repair center in New York, and in March 2023 it became the warranty repair center for Goldshell's U.S.
customers. Dong said the company started at the tail end of the last bull run and survived the winter. Its hosting site sits in upstate New York, in a cool climate, and she said the area has no curtailment. Before any repair, the team offers a free consultation, because the fix may be a firmware update rather than a hardware fault.
She pitched BT Miners as a one-stop shop for repair, hosting and hardware, and said the next step was a payments partnership so that stores and online sellers could accept altcoins and receive USDT. When she spoke, Bitcoin traded at $61,272. On October 19, 2026, it was $82,268.
