Is Bitcoin at a Bottom?
The Mining Disrupt News Surge host read the posts arguing Bitcoin's pullback was a bottom, a month before the second Mining Disrupt Expo in Dallas.
Is Bitcoin at a bottom? That was the question on the Mining Disrupt News Surge for Monday, October 13, 2025, and the host's answer was a careful yes. "We might be in the bottom of this market," he said.
He had recorded the episode on October 10. By his count, Bitcoin had sat around 117 through most of September, pumped at the start of October, and slipped back to 118. He pointed to the network rather than the price: fees low, transactions moving, hash rate strong, and public nodes closing in on 25,000.
Then he read the posts that shaped his week. Rational Aussie wrote that people would one day call Bitcoiners lucky, and answered that there is "absolutely nothing lucky about betting your entire net worth on something the entire world has consistently written off." The host added his own reply to the skeptics who call Bitcoin numbers on a screen. A bank account and a stock portfolio, he said, are numbers on a screen too.
Another post ranked Bitcoin as the seventh largest asset in the world, yet its author knew no one in real life who owned any. The host guessed that out of 8 billion people, somewhere from tens of millions to perhaps 500 million have ever touched Bitcoin.
His favorite chart was one he found by accident. Search BTC on Google and you get the Bitcoin price. Add a dollar sign and you get the value of one dollar in Bitcoin, a line that falls at every time range. "This is what a dollar buys you," he said.
The Kobeissi Letter put Bitcoin's market cap at $2.5 trillion, about 10.5 times smaller than gold, so even a million dollar Bitcoin would be only 75% of gold's size. And an account called tech 52 argued there has never been a four-year halving cycle, only a business cycle that turned near the halvings. "It's at a bottom, not a top," that post said. The host noted its chart pointed to a top around the middle of the next year, and that whether it would happen remained to be seen.
He signed off the way he always does: tick tock, next block. As long as Bitcoin keeps doing what it does, he said, Bitcoin will be fine. He also pointed viewers to the second Mining Disrupt Expo in Dallas, Texas, a month away.
When this episode was published, Bitcoin traded at $114,313. On October 26, 2026 it was $79,897.
