Marbles, Cards and Fixed Supply
The June 30, 2025 episode explained fixed supply with a school where teachers hold unlimited marbles and a card maker has burned the files.
Ten marbles. That is what every passing grade pays in the school the Mining Disrupt News Surge built on Monday, June 30, 2025. An A plus pays 10 marbles. A C pays 10 marbles. And the teachers hold the closet, with unlimited marbles and a supply truck that keeps backing up to refill it.
The host used that school to explain why, in his view, Bitcoin has to go up. Not day to day, he said, and not hour to hour. Over months, years and four-year spans.
In his story, students spend marbles on everything: snacks, pens, backpacks and Pokémon cards. They earn marbles only by working. The teachers take a little more every year for themselves. Then a new card game arrives, and its maker says there are exactly 21,000 cards. In the host's words, "I've burned the files. They cannot, nobody can create more of these cards."
Trade marbles for those cards, he said, and the price of the cards in marbles keeps rising, because the marble supply never ends. The only thing that could stop it is the teachers losing their greed. His answer: "not in all of human history has greed just gone away as a thing." His conclusion: "And so in fiat terms, Bitcoin has to go up."
The same episode covered Texas. Governor Greg Abbott had signed Bitcoin into law, and the state now had a strategic Bitcoin reserve bill. The host read a post calling it likely more important than the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs the year before. He also read a post saying a North American heat wave had switched miners off in demand response, which was why hashrate dropped.
On screen that day, Bitcoin was at $106,800, with over 22,000 nodes. It closed at $107,690. On October 27, 2026, Bitcoin traded at $79,780. The host's case was a long-term one, and he did not put a date on it.
He told viewers there is no missing this train, only avoiding it until they are forced to get on, and said he could not say whether that day comes in their lifetimes. He also pitched the second Mining Disrupt Expo of the year, in Dallas, which he called the heart of Bitcoin mining in the US, after a March show in Fort Lauderdale where he saw people making deals on the floor.
